1970 Norton Commando Roadster Value???

I'm new to the Norton's so please bear with me.
Local seller has this for sale. It was pointed out that the front fender strut is missing as well as the oil lines have been modified. Very clean bike and runs well. no leaks. Tires are 10 years old. Upgraded Corbin seat. Seller has the original 2 up seat. Mikuni carb installed. Seller has the original amal's and intake manifolds with air cleaner assembly. The VIN tag on the steering head numbers are worn off except for the first number which matches the first number of the title and engine which do match. Check out the listing and let me know if it's a fair deal. TIA.

If that is original mileage and a true Roadster model, I would say that is a fair price. The "Roadster" is a fairly rare bike being a kind of transition from the "S" with headlight ring and the first with the up swept pipes. I think it was more or less a 1-year model only. IMHO the only down side is the oil tank which can make oil changes a little sloppy. The fact that it needs new tires adds another 3-4 hundred to that price. Check the title against the VIN on the left side cylinder base and also the number on the top of the gear box. The fact it has a steel tank is a good plus as it originally had a fiberglass one. It had to have been restored at some point so any corresponding paperwork would be a big plus.

A year ago I would have said that's a fair price, however yesterday I was at an auction, where a very nice black MKIII Interstate sold for CHF3,200 !! (around $4,100). I was sorely tempted to bid on it, but .....

The Norton has been sold to someone else. Thanks for everyone’s input.
