750 Exhaust Thread Repair in Brisbane Australia.

Hi there. I have a 1970 750 fastback that I am rebuilding. I found it whilst living in England and have brought it to Brisbane when I returned from the UK. I'm In Brisbane and would like to know if anybody can repair exhaust threads in Brisbane

A good machine shop and a good tradesman could do that repair, fitters and turners can do anything with the right tooling, man I miss being a TA in the maintenance workshop at TAFE, done a lot of work on my Norton there.
Worked at Bracken Ridge TAFE for 31 years and 15 years as TA to the maintenance fitters shop.

Not in Brisbane but Greg Ball Engineering in Sydney are excellent. Recently sent my head there for about $30 from Lismore NSW.

How bad is the damage.

Hi Ashman. Not too bad I had some brass shim screwed between the male and female threads and it was better than nothing. I know there are firms in the UK and States that specialise in this repair.
