I have an old Australian made 8 inch conical hub, I'm trying to find a backing plate for.
A while back I think I saw an ad for fontana type backing plates to fit Grimeca hubs. I want to use the brake in a pre-62 racer.

For the benefit of others I measured the Enfield's front drum and sent the shoes off for relining and machining at ClassicBrakeServices in Whaley Bridge here in the UK. Ian Campbell is the guy and he does lots of racing bikes. £70 posted back and front brake is now much better. Did 400 miles on the Interceptor at the Manx recently and it is bedding in nicely. Recommended and glad I didn't go down the TLS route.
