Cam Donald's Dominator SS

Nice little write up on Cam Donald's own Dominator SS - by someone who 'gets it'.

I like the fuel tank. Is it the same tank as some have fitted as a replacement for the plastic tank of the 961?
The shape is very nice, sort of a combination of the Manx Long range, Gus Kuhn Commando and Lyta Manx shapes.

Perhaps it is the same shape as the standard 961 tank, also a nice looking tank and no doubt getting it's shape from Kenny Dreer's original 961 styling.
Always tends to look more impressive in alloy. And cost a lot more.
What is the capacity?

Yes, it is the same tank that fits also the Commando 961. Capacity is 17 litres, which is a few litres more than the stock tank.

Very nice. 17 litres is a good size for a decent range on most bikes.

Might try my hand at making one similar in shape.

I won't be accomplishing that in 3 days ( as mentioned in the article) tho :mrgreen:
