Corbin vs stock seat

When I built my Commando/Featherbed 850 I installed a Commando interstate seat for two up riding with mods to the seat mounts then I brought a new solo interstate seat with the hump from Burtons British Bikes and mounted it on the Featherbed, this is the most comfortable seat I have ever ridden with, all day riding and long trip I have never had any problems and clocking up long day miles, the seat is so comfortable, Danny also sells seats for the Roadsters, I have had the Solo seat on the Norton now for over 15+ years now, I also brought a new seat cover from Danny for the duel seat, was very fast delivery to Aus, 3 working days from England and very good to deal with.

Cafe,
It always pleases me to see the way you use your motorcycle.

I have tried Corbin seats on several bikes and although I always liked the Corbin look, I never liked the Corbin "seat." I have found that for general riding I prefer a fairly flat seat that I can easily move around/change my position. I am very uncomfortable on seats that fix my position. But seating preference is totally" in the butt of the beholder!" ;)
A seat that is great for one person may be a literal PITA for another!!

A buddy dropped by yesterday with his custom cafe Norton Commando special. It had a Corbin seat that looked long and flat, with a kickup at the rear. He told me he dropped by at the Corbin factory, told them what he wanted, and they built his seat to his specs. It must help a lot if you are actually there with the bike and seat.

From my avatar I do prefer the Corbin. Still have the original with new foam stored in the attic space along with the fiberglass roadster tank.
