Yes it was on our local news last night but they still got to do more test and to work out safe dosage for humans, they are working with medical scientists world wide and will be few more weeks even months before they know for sure, so things looking good so far.

Just to put a little Norton content in this thread, i am the designated shopper in our household (we voted and it was 1 each so i lost :)). Yesterday i had to go for some essentials and was nearing the back of the queue outside when a youngish guy insisted i go in front of him. Turned out he liked my Norton tee shirt, his grandfather had been a Norton owner. We had a chat from our 2m separation about bikes in general and the state of the world. Brightened up my day anyway.

That just heart breaking , specially when you add on funeral and associated expense .... something wrong down there .... when you consider the wealth compared to other countries .... .... like some one already said Cuba has great health system and more than enough Doctors all no cost , plus it safe to walk anywhere in most Cities even after dark .... not sayin’ I would be happy eating chicken every day , but that Country does show some big improvements ....
 
And dont forget, with all the layoffs huge numbers of folks in the US lose their employer provided health coverage as well. Some confusion on if govnmnt is covering not just covid test cost or if full treatment costs. Regardless, if you get sick for another reason theres no coverage.
 
We are doing the 7pm pot banging thing to keep up with the neighbours. Was quite a big show tonight. This coincides with hospital shift changes. Good for the soul.

This pandemic and the response, or lack thereof, has shown that the US lacks the resources to deal with an emergency. Decades of tax cuts and military buildups have stripped our capacity to respond effectively to this pandemic. That, compounded with a chaotic, inept administration have left American citizens in a very vulnerable position.

Until there is a vaccine for this CORONAVIRUS the infected HAVE to be isolated from those not infected. To do this everyone has to be tested. If not, millions will die in the US.

The half-assed measures we’ve implemented so far will only slightly slow the spread of infection. The grim reaper will wait.
 
February 29 the first death from COVID-19 in the US was reported. Today, the death count will surpass 10,000.

He can be sued for actions that occurred before taking office, and on a state level. Cannot be sued federally. Technically you would be suing the "United States".
 
Evidently a sitting US president can be sued. I recall John Boehner, Speaker of the House, threatening to sue Obama.

Maybe it’s just Democrat presidents that can be sued.
