The front fairing was a little wobbly, so I added some bolts to strengthen the upright. I also added a bracket under the bottom of the chin under the headlight hole.

It made it much stronger. I also ordered the brackets for the wings. Between those and the new front bracket, I think I’ll be ok.

I’ll probably need to buy some thick rubber washers so the fiberglass has some room to breathe.

The bracket’s not pretty, but it’s temporary until I buy a new one.

Battery side panel and a few other small parts are coming next week. Should be able to connect the rear brake.

Going to have to figure out how to mount gauges.

It’s the little things that make you happy during these days of uncertainty.

I live in Westchester NY, the epicenter of the Covid-19 disease. On top of that, my wife is a nurse in a hospital in NYC. She’s on the front lines and I worry about her everyday when she leaves for work and takes the train into the city.

So what I meant by the little things is when you buy a part and get it in the mail and you have no idea if it’s good or a disaster. But when you remove paint and find no bondo or bad repairs; that’s a good day.

Today I got a nice part and I continue to check off the boxes on my punch list for my rolling chassis and I appreciate every day.

Big thanks to your wife from a fellow NYC resident. The world needs more people like her right now and into the future. A friend of mine lost her father tonight from this virus. It's ugly times these days....

Glad your side-cover worked out. Had an opposite experience with a gas tank recently, so I know what you're feeling.

Now paint it red! Or green (I'm still pulling for green).

Thanks Peter. I’m sorry to hear about your friends dad. So sad. I worry everyday and I wish my wife would stay home, but as she tells me, this is what she does.

BIG respect to her.

Don’t try and ground her. That would be like her telling you not to ride motorbikes, go out with your mates, etc.

Like she said, this is what she does. Support her like a hero !

And while she’s out saving lives, get that bike painted RED for goodness sake...!
 
It’s always something.

I connected the rearset brake pedal, bought a rear brake clovis and a new rear brake cable. I go to connect everything and...of course... I’m missing the trunnion for the end of the cable.

This is how you learn!

They don’t have any on eBay right now, one will turn up soon!

Oh yeah, I painted the side cover red, just for Fast Eddie. Tank and fairing soon.

That particular red shall lend an absolutely gorgeous appearance to your machine... It'll give it that " Bugger off! I'm fast!" look. She'll be fast just sitting curbside also. Popo will give a ticket just for looking like that I'm sure.... Looks like a redhead I knew in the '70's in hotpants. Smoking hot...
