Head Gasket, Breather, Both / Neither?

Mart UK, that PCV Vv looks like it could be too far away from the crankcase to be of any value IMHO
Ideally any reed Vv should be as close as possible to the source of the crankcase pressure ie at the crankcase.

8.5 inches from engine outlet rising (for obvious reasons) to the PCV inlet, expected and reliable results continue, no issues.

This installation on my 427SO assembly/build needed an extension line into a catch bottle and extra venting (on top of valve cover left rear) to achieve desired pressure relief/free flow of crankcase gasses.
