no Avon RR so what tyres ru using in the UK

For years I have used Bridgestone BT45 and then 46, but now switched to Heidenau. Excellent tyres.
Tyre (or tire?) threads are almost like oil threads. Never ending.

Which Heidenau are you using?

I don't want to give up on my 19in rear wheel. I really like the handling of a commanco with a pair of 19s. I have had good luck with Heidinau tires, running K34s on a number of smaller bikes (BMW R26 and several 1970s hondas. Does Heidinau make a suitable 19in rear tire. Other than K81s which are not my preference, what are the choices for a 19in rear?

I also really like BT45/46s but they are not available in a 19 rear. I have used them on mid sized Japanese bikes for years. Back years ago when dunlop tires might require several ounces of balance weight, the then BT45s would often not require any.

Still the case as far as I'm aware, manufacture to start in Turkey Dec 2026, with all sizes being in stock by June 2027.

I just fitted BT46s 3.25 19 and 400 18 to a classic bike and am very impressed.

I rather suspect I won’t be buying any Avons for my classics in future…

The BT 46 front is also considerably lighter than the comparable Avon.
