Fullauto is a phenomenon. He is actually surviving while supplying parts for old Commandos. I've had friends making aftermarket parts for relatively modern bikes who have gone under. Ken must have a lot of patience. He showed me one of his heads - 'quality does not cost - it pays' - most impressive !

Too much internal detail. You also can't use investment casting. You are stuck with sand casting.

I talked to a gearbox specialist about AMC style gearboxes for racing a few years ago.

They had an approach based on machining sections from billet and bonding. What we talked about wasn't the integrity, which had been proved elsewhere, but more if they could be accepted in vintage/classic racing. The idea was to reduce set up cost compared to developing cast cases. In the end they didn't go ahead, I think they had plenty of other things to keep them busy rather than compete head on with TTi.

However, I suspect the integrity of the bonding might be under greater stress with the heat generated in a cylinder head!

And the concours market and maybe race eligibility could still limit the market.

Last FA head, I have booked one out as sample here at AN. It will not be sold. Might not be from the latest batch but as soon as it was announced it was put aside so we did not sell them all.

Sometimes I lose it, but I usually find it again.
