oil pump wet sump performance

Oil can also leak through the pre-Mk3 OPRV or along its threads as the oil from the OPRV is sent back to the inlet side of the pump so has a connection to the oil tank.
Yes, but I am currently only focused on the oil pump contribution to wet sumping. Wouldn't the oil coming from that feature of the OPRV still have to go thru the pump to get to the sump?

Highly recommend the ARM mods to stop the wet sumping. Did this on all four of my Commandos. It works. Be sure to also do the pressure relief valve mod. I would never fit a check valve in the inlet line that required suction to open. The AMR mod is on the pressurized side of the pump.

I have a sump reed valve fitted it seems to pump a fair bit of oil and by passing the filter this wouldn’t hinder the reed valve operation then ?
Can’t see how it could. Practically zero resistance to blow through a Magnifine filter.
