I realise this may have been asked before but what fittings make up the oil feed line on this early fastback oil tank. Both feed and return are situated at the front of the tank, but trying to locate replacements is a right pain. There doesn't seem to be much information in relation to this oil feed and AN have not responded.Any ideas what I should need.Another supplier has shown me the strainer gauze oil filter as fitted on later commandos along with the banjo fitting.Clearly this will not work. Both return and feed lines are in the same orientation. Any ideas anyone?

However according to the '68 - '70 parts book the feed hose is 3 1/4" and the return is 4 1/2" both are part 000950 all with ferrules that are no longer available from AN..

Wow,what a response, certainly looks the one.Andover Norton couldn't find the part, and another respected dealer gave the wrong part. Thanks for this!!!

Ive just been down to the garage to have a look at mine. Previous owner has used jubilee clips instead of the ferrule.

I cant get to the.right hand side as I am waiting for my wheels but happy to send some photos.

Maybe give Ashley a ring? I am fairly certain the Panama fastback is at Andover? He should be able to refer to that?

With a little bit more research, again with help from LAB I have came to this conclusion. At the moment there are two types of in line filter on the nortons. One is part no.06.0592 and the other is NM19379.Btw what does the NM refer too.Respectively one uses a 1/2 bore while the other is 5/16 bore.I,m assuming this is an internal dimension. This would be hopefully be correct as my oil lines coming from the engine are 3/8 outer dimension. The oil tank is the early fastback that featured the sight tube. Why the heck didnt they just make one size.
Part no NM19379 was also found as 01.9379 I believe. Can anyone confirm this.

If you plug the numbers into the Andover Norton website search function it'll confirm the NM number is for Dominators up to 1966.
The thread form may differ from the Commando tank, so it might not be the answer.
Your engine oil pipes are presumably from a later bike?
the correct one for '68-'70 looks like this:

One is part no.06.0592 and the other is NM19379.Btw what does the NM refer too.
I assume the NM means Norton Motors and is the old part numbering system however, this did continue on into Commando for some parts.
This would be hopefully be correct as my oil lines coming from the engine are 3/8 outer dimension.

NM19379 is up to 1966 so I don't know why you are considering it as it isn't 3/8" nor can I understand why you need 3/8" outer dimension? Has somebody removed the barb fittings from the junction block or fitted one of the later types?

Part no NM19379 was also found as 01.9379 I believe. Can anyone confirm this.
01.9379 turned up no results at AN for me.
