My goodness ! I hope it cleans off .Talking of Clean bikes, en route to the Essex norton owners club bash tomorrow & just checking in to hotel near by, returned to bike & OMG , Vandalism 1st thought , 2nd thought seagulls & then it turned out to be the instant ice pack that’s been in ma tank bag for 6 yrs ! Looks real good to me .An orange 2018 50th model, can't remember seeing that colour as an option. Brave choice but looks good
It was special order and if I remember correctly sprayed in Laverda orange to match existing bike. Correct me if I am wrong FredvincentAn orange 2018 50th model, can't remember seeing that colour as an option. Brave choice but looks good
Had a bronze gold metallic 72 Combat in my 20’s until I had to sell it to fund my racing habit. It was special order and if I remember correctly sprayed in Laverda orange to match existing bike. Correct me if I am wrong Fredvincent
The Norton pub is in that village. I’ll take a pic next time I’m passing.Just near by was a great photo opportunity, maybe a message in the village title View attachment 97135

Roger receiving his “ Best Donnington Bike “ rosette , he got a trophy aswell, it’s ironic that Roger has a bunch of other classic bikes some of which need finishing & all he does is roll up on this 961 & wins a prize

Are they flame proof?Had a bronze gold metallic 72 Combat in my 20’s until I had to sell it to fund my racing habit.

Always vowed to build a Commando up when I retired but when I worked out the cost to include all the updates I decided that the 961 would still be more reliably powerful and handle better.
The bronze gold was a step too far paint-wise so having always liked the Laverdas and finding that Signal Orange was the colour used for Laverda road bike rebuilds and that it was a Norton colour in the 70’s, it was a no brainier for me. Orange is the new black (for me anyway).
Hi Steven, how different are the Michelin tires from the Dunlop's? (are these road 5's?) I put the road 5's on my BM and transformed the bike, so good.! thinking of putting the new 6's on the Norton.Short 120 km ride this morning - Can’t just blast past this view of the Glasshouse Mountains. Have to stop to see if there are any dinosaurs roaming around! Looks like there should be to me!
Bike was flawless, although it ejected another tank bolt. A little tighter next time and fingers crossed I don’t rotate the fixing.
