Side Stand

Hi all, has anyone shortened their side stand, I have almost dropped my 2018 Anniversary Commando twice since the first time i rode it last year i have struggled with the bike being to upright so want to shorten the length would appreciate any information from anyone who has done tis to their bikes.

I’m sure I read on here that someone has. Let me see if I can find it.
