Speedo rebuild

I've always had Nisonger rebuild my clocks. l understand they are no longer doing rebuilds. Who do you all recommend?

I know Mike Partridge (Wallridge Motors) supplies rebuilds as traide ins or if you want your same milage to be un-altered, he can ship yours to his supplier.
Send him an email. He did some nice P11 speedo and tach's for me.
New rubbers new seals with profecional crimped bezels.

Yes , Mike can help .
Or you can do away with the cables and fluttering / inaccuracies / worn out cores and go electronic .

Somewhat OT, but is there anything I can or should do to my Tach and Speedo when we talk about maintenance? Any lube or dust / dirt removal we can perform before sending these out to the professionals?

I ask because both units of the bike I have look okay, but I never had a chance to see them in action. Don't want to spend money where there may be no need.

Lightly lubing the bush is not a bad idea. Run them with a drill and see if they work. To make a drive, take a common nail, chop the head off, and chuck the shank in the drill. Press the chisel point in the square recess. Look at the rotation of the speedo to figure out which direction of rotation you want to run the drill.

For Smiths on Commandos rotate the drill counterclockwise.

Vintage British Cables has done lots of them for me - all look and act new. Also, an excellent provider of speedo and tech cables.
