My wife comfortably relies on my built-in self governing cheapness.
She knows that unless we won the lottery, I'd not consider spending that much gold on anything with wheels.
Even then, I have a plan for long range fiscal responsibility.
I plan to CHARTER personal jet aircraft as needed, not BUY one.
If it floats, flies, or fu@ks, it is better to rent it than own it.

...and sadly, he was deceased 2 months later. (Non-trauma causes).

I much prefer A spoke when building wheels - the B spoke are usually a lesser quality…wink wink.
Back when we were setting up the Millwork shop the household was in a constant state of underfunding for about a decade. All savings from both of our jobs was being poured into the endless list of very expensive and absolutely essential heavy duty machininery.
One day I stuck my head in the door to tell my wife that I was heading into town to pick up a propane bottle for the forklift.
" We have a forklift now?" was the remarkably cheerful response
