Going under at Donington?

Over the years I have called twice to Indian call centres for tech advice. One Guy had great English was chipper amusing and fun to talk to, the other guy had very poor English and got mad at me when I had to ask him over and over I'm sorry I don't understand you .
 
Just saw that an Indian motorcycle firm has purchased Norton and has 6 months at Donnington Hall. It seems like a good match since they already are making smaller displacement sized bikes back in India.

There is one thing I always do when I get the phone call from India - I always stop them and tell them what their job pays in Australia. Have you ever tried to dud an Indian ?
 
I suggest a major problem we have in Australia is we buy on price rather than quality. I think the 961 Norton is probably excellent. But who wants an excellent Commando ? It is simple lack of education. When I began racing, I chose to ride an old British bike, even though it was easier to win on a Japanese two-stroke. An old British bike can be developed forever and that is the major part of it's attraction. You don't learn so much from racing a Japanese motorcycle. These days, if I race it is very easy to be in the lead bunch. Accumulated knowledge creates a major advantage. As you race, you know exactly what the other guys are doing, so you simply out-engineer and out-ride them.

They know what comparable jobs pay, they are not stupid. That is just a dick move.
 
I think this will be better than if a Chinese interest acquired the company. Whether or not they go racing. Which they might end up doing with that spondon framed V-4,'just sayin'. Anyway those 650's looked promising I thought, and they could go head to head with royal Enfield's new 650GT

Now the latest article indicates that TVS might throw a high end electric Norton together. Apparently they already have some experience with electric bikes. They seem intent on continuing with the 961 and improving customer relations.
 
A "real estate guy" who thinks turnover is profit and doesn't pay anyone. When the dust settles, lawyers fight over the remains while the perpetrator ends up with a fortune. Sounds vaguely familiar.....

Ha ha ha ha. Who believes he has 14 million pounds in the bank?

He should sit in jail till he comes up with the money.
 
Actually, he should sit in jail until all the pensioners he robbed, have passed away. Then add 1 more year fro each Norton deposit he stole without delivering bikes; one year for each depositor. They should send each one a notice: Mr. Garner will be beginning his one-year of "service" especially for you, beginning on such-and-such date.
 
Perhaps fraud should be added to my candidates for Quantatively Eased Justice or Q.E.J. At least there would still be a Spondon Engineering .
