Beautiful bike. I’ve done quite a bit a reading about Dave Degens; a living legend in the motorcycle builders world no doubt. I always thought he was the first to pair the Triton, but not apparently. Still knocking around although doesn’t run Dresda Triton anymore.

Starts with a vertical twin, 360 deg crank, lightweight & good handling.

My (minor) difficulty with vintage commandos is generally proportions. Point in case the fastback! This fits the bill though

Yup. Roadsters are for the young Bucks. Especially Blue ones. They’re faster…
Anyone who says the ‘proportions are off’ with a Commando Roadster is just plain wrong.

Only talking about proportions - call me shallow, but a bikes gotta look right; for the owner. Not saying the roadster is off, just it wouldn’t be my preference in this comparison. The diminishing ass end and understated tank are part of it. No right or wrong - personal preference.
I’m sure the fastback was/is an awesome bike but for me, the styling is a miss now as it was then.
And methinks you’re forgetting your age

I sold this at the end of last summer mainly because of the clipons and I wouldn't compromise by fitting flat bars and standard footrests!
