Does anyone have a nice picture of a 961 in snow, that they wouldn't mind me getting made into a Christmas card for Motorvated Ltd this year?
Seven pictures and almost 50% of Norton 961, that can't be bad, still didn't win the free tickets though.Fame at last for myself & “Peebee” View attachment 117423
Bikes all tucked away till spring!!Does anyone have a nice picture of a 961 in snow, that they wouldn't mind me getting made into a Christmas card for Motorvated Ltd this year?
Pity its summer over there otherwise you could have taken a trip down to the snowy mountains.Bikes all tucked away till spring!!
Ya gonna update the mileage thread Blighty - be a shame if we stopped populating that thread!Hi ya Tony , No couldn’t do that , with 33,000 miles on it now & the way the used bike market it over here , no dealer would want it as a trade in.
Apart from the clutch/balance shaft issue 5 yrs ago the bikes be ok on the whole.

Chris Walker the stalker at thundersprint.Worth keeping an eye on front sprocket cover (upper) wear for those doing a bit of mileage. Noticed tiny flecks of ally on my swing arm after the last ride, which I’d experienced before so knew where it was coming from. Dress up - ride on.
Chain correctly adjusted. Maybe I need to lose a bit of weight, or set the suspension for a 90+kg bloke rather than The Stalker’s 75-80 kg! Or get a suspension specialist to do it for me - gonna get around to that eventually! Also gave passing thought (again) to fitting the 17 tooth front sprocket; decided against it (again)! May fit a small sacrificial wear strip at some stage, if the problem persists.
Having a good look around whilst fitting single seat frame extensions - thanks Stu!Anyone else fettling? Or riding even? Didn’t happen unless ya post a pic.

Hello Wildrover , Does that deal carry a low amount of annual mileage you can ride it ? I thought I read that somewhere .Wanted a Black One - but couldn't say no to an unbelievable deal on this 961. How much per month, you wouldn't believe it!

Mine is 4000 a year ..you can pick the milage you think you will do and the repayments differ accordingly. But if your going to keep it at the end that's not a problem. Only if you hand it back .Hello Wildrover , Does that deal carry a low amount of annual mileage you can ride it ? I thought I read that somewhere .
Yes it does, the deal is normally £69 pm for 2 years (interest free). 2000 mile per annum. I haven't ridden in 20 years, so it suits me and that's my monthly £20, as it had 140 miles on it. Ordered a Hornet too (this one will be paid for). Just ordered an Optima trickle charger.Hello Wildrover , Does that deal carry a low amount of annual mileage you can ride it ? Yep, bought an early Grenadier, very pleased with it. Interesting that you should know that other Grenadier owners are buying 961's.I see you have a Grenadier as well, wildrover! There must be something about appreciating Grenadiers and Norton Commandos! I also know another chap here in Aberdeenshire that owns a Grenadier and has ordered a silver 961SP. So that's at least 3 of us now in the UK. All the best with the new bike!
