Norton trouble

Interesting idea.
It would of course depend on the willingness of the principal participant to be part of the plan.

Dealers usually pay for the bikes they get from manufacturers . So somebody would have to pay the dealer for him to give up the 961 they have on the floor. Now knowing this , it would have been safer for the 961 buyers to go to the dealer and buy bikes that were actually on the floor ! FE's very nice black 961 may still be available for those wanting one. The problem is that the dealer who has his bike won't be giving it away !

Looking at their web site Tony I believe they’ve sold it. Which is interesting as A LOT of their other used stock hasn’t moved at all.

Perhaps not Tony but dealers holding Norton stock will not want to pick up the warranty issues so look for significant bargains to shift from the floor - can they sell without warranty?

One fifth already the value of the wheels, may be... and then the Oehlins, may be one third... if it has an alloy tank, there wouldn’t be a lot for the rest.
 
So if Norton rises from the ashes again, will this be the Access Norton modern “Modern” forum? Version 2.3

I thought I’d seen that bike b4 , here it is in Norton factory showroom October 2017, certain it’s a one off , used in fashion clothing shoots with Norton clothing , pretty sure it was one never to be sold ! That’s a nice looking bike IMHO, I like the black engine covers and black chrome pipes. I bet the dealer would take an offer on it, leaving some funds for the necessary ONE07 upgrades and bingo !

Don’t feel you need to share but I was aware of your next bike order, and when all this broke i was really hoping you hadn’t made a full up front payment. Hope it’s ok for you.
 
The Moto Guzzi Commando is actually an early Cafe Racer SP (Special) version.
Blacked out covers, pipes, alloy bits, etc..

 
As of now Norton as a business is done and over with.

Quite a big mess, sorry for this, all involved (except not sorry with SG, dishonest!) I am keen to hear from the dedicated team that worked there to find out some more truths. I expect their hands are tied still.

This forum isn’t going anywhere and it’s my pride and joy to keep it operational as well as my old bikes. Norton’s and other old brit bikes are in my blood.

I was out testing my 750 today to see why the forks are bouncing a bit much over 95 mph. I was at the Colorado Norton meeting last night, with fellow enthusiasts ( great to see you Jim C and all others). Its a daily thing. I know I don’t post much these days, but trust me, I am here with ya.

I ain’t going anywhere and neither is Access Norton. If I get hit by a bus, plans are in place so this continues.

sorry again to hear all this crappola.
