Historical site, historical marque, great bikes! Good to see that you guys had a blast, literally. Lovin the naked tank Jon. Gonna run mine like that for a while.

Long live Norton.
New mirrors fitted, can see more clearly than the bar ends.
See how the sunlight catches the white on the tank.

Last Saturday there was a local British car show which also has bikes but only two of us showed up with bikes.

Its a shame only two bikes showed up, but look on the bright side they must have been the centre of attention ( and rightly so).

BTW, you have posted on the 961 page, but what the heck, they are all Norton’s ( despite what some folks say)

@cliffa and you just "found" a new factory screen, yeah?
A guy on the Facebook 961 group was selling it so I snapped it up. It came without brackets so I tried to replicate the factory ones. Far too complex so I gave up and made some using the headlight bolts and one of the original 6mm mount points with a spacer. I could also position the screen a little further forward which I prefer.

Another hidden gem in Kent south eastern England , WW2 museum run by volunteers , most items in there have been donated by locals & dug up in the surrounding fields, minor airstrip next to it during the war , never mind tarmac it was just chicken wire rolled out on the grass.
& the eagled eyed of you would of spotted the “ bouncing bomb” prototype & test bomb( nowt in it ) as used by the “ dam busters”

Out yesterday on the Klausen pass. Friday afternoon seems a perfect time. Very little traffic unlike the weekends which would be overrun with bikes and cars from all over Europe during the summer weekends.

Moody shot...

Then on down, into Kanton Uri and the sight (Tellskapelle) of Wilhelm Tell's dramatic escape from his captors in around 1470 during a storm (a Föhnsturm).

Beautiful mountain roads.
I wish we had scenery like that here.
Actually BritTwit we do... it's called the American West. As beautiful as the Swiss Alps, German Alps, Austrian Alps and the Italian Dolomites are ( I visited them all when I lived in Europe from the late 70's and throughout the 80's) none of them come close to the sheer beauty found in the hundreds of Mountain ranges and lakes found in places in the West with little to no crowds.
