Pictures of your Norton Commandos

Maney crank, cases and cylinders. FCRs. This thing is a hoot with higher bars and the new seat.

Last job is to convert the positive earth system to negative earth with a Motogaget M.Unit blue.
Please let us know how you make out with the M.Unit. I like the stuff that MotoGadget has available.
Thanks,
Mike

Exhaust pipe design on a Commando is not the source of a problem which Japanese motorcycles do not have ?
Stubs, springs and slip-joints might not help ? OR more flexible silencer mounts with dampers.
Car guys do not know much about motorcycles.

We're in a 'heat wave' at the moment, allegedly :)
It's meant to break next week, which is when I start a fortnight's motorbike tour! GoreTex will be my friend! We Brits love to talk weather and complain. But, although unpredictable, I feel lucky to live here.

I like the purple Commando. The orange/bronze might be my favourite. So 1970s. 👍

There's always a price to pay for a few sunny days in the UK
Firstly hose pipe bans then
Weeks of torrential rain !

North Wales the 1st 6 days, so nice slate mine rain. But then down to the Plymouth ferry and onwards to the Picos and Pyrenees, so should get a sun tan 👍.
Been to the Picos many times , it's a great area for bikes. Be sure to do the San Glorio pass and the coast road to Ribadasella and particularly Santillana del Mar which is beautiful and pretty close to Santander.

norton number three just about done, i didnt do much build postings like i did with my other 2, this was a pretty much routine assembly.
its a 1968, "S" model, clearly ive made changes to make it a better daily driver. disc brake, combat head, gusseted frame and swingarm. re sleeved carbs, SS rims
and a floater disc.
