I saw that on UK news websites. It is insanity. I suspect that politicians / campaigners are too stupid to understand that farms are where food -really- comes from.

p.s. I have been watching clips of Clarkson's Farm on YouTube - brilliant, it is humourous and gets some serious points over at the same time.
 
This will aggravate the farmers and Countrymen....big protests on the way

Cars in cities are a nuisance.
I own three cars and 3 motorcycles and I live in a city.
It's ridiculous and completely stupid, but I cannot help myself.
So I am moving to the countryside in April.

Cars in cities are a nuisance as is lorry's, trucks , etc
But for many they are essential when there is no alternative
 
Congestion pricing encourages participation in alternatives, thus enabling said alternatives to expand their services.

Clearly the status quo needs changing.

The biggest threat we face is not an ever changing & cyclical nature of our climate - but the brainwashing & propagandising of the gullible & feeble minded that have been tricked into believe that Big Government is able to stop the type of floods that occurred in the past.

Nice headline, but the article also says

The article cites it uses data from Rutgers Climate LAB which found in their Annual Report that "Annual snow cover extent (SCE) over Northern Hemisphere lands averaged 24.3 million square kilometers in 2021. This is 0.6 million sq. km less than the 1991-2020 mean and ranks as the 7th least extensive cover on record."

And your article also cites it uses NOAA who have noted that "October 2022 was the fourth-warmest October in NOAA's 143-year record. The October global surface temperature was 1.60°F (0.89°C) above the 20th-century average of 57.1°F (14.0°C). The past seven Octobers were among the ten warmest Octobers on record. October 2022 marked the 46th consecutive October and the 454th consecutive month with temperatures, at least nominally, above the 20th-century average."
 
NASA just recently, very quietly, admitted that the Ice Mass Balance in the Arctic is Increasing, Not decreasing as they previously stated.
So much for the Ice disappearing from the Poles.

In the UK public transport services have been severely cut back
The cost of public transport is extremely high and overcrowded
Bus garages that have changed over to electric cannot charge the buses without running huge diesel generators in their depot
For many myself included I would not be able to get to work without private transport

REALLY? Please cite something more substantive than a meme.

"The ice cover shrank to an area of 4.67 million square kilometers (1.80 million square miles) this year, roughly 1.55 million square kilometers (598,000 square miles) below the 1981-2010 average minimum of 6.22 million square kilometers (2.40 million square miles).

Summer ice extent in and around the Arctic Ocean has declined significantly since satellites began measuring it consistently in 1978. The past 16 years (2007 to 2022) have been the lowest 16 minimum extents, with 2022 tying 2017 and 2018 for 10th-lowest in 44 years of observations. The satellite record is maintained by the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC), which hosts one of NASA’s Distributed Active Archive Centers."
