Thanks, I supposed that is a Suzuki part. Wonder what the brake hydraulics are it was machined for Lucas switches ?
Have you ever found what bike the master cylinder was from? I've got a leak from the lever and need a seal kit.I have Don’s master cylinder on my ‘72, but with original Lockheed caliper and brake disc. Use DOT4 brake fluid.
I took the master cylinder apart today to get some measurements to help try and identify the unit. I was looking on e-bay to see if I could find a seal kit and came across a replacement piston assy with seals and circlip that look identical to what I have. I've yet to get an answer back from Tourmax confirming the dimensions but they have a kit (MSB101) for the Honda CBF600.No, thats is what I would like to know.
Brake pads are for Tokico calipers as used on many Kaw and Suz models, thats why i chose this caliper.
The recommended brake fluid is stated on the mastercylinder cap (Dot 3)
For an overhaul kit ,of which you probably only need the 2 piston seals which are not the same, you could try a Honda dealer or brake mastercylinder shop .
I could post a kit but that will take a while.
Its a 1-1/2 round trip to the post office, not sure when i can get there.if you are in the US then i cant use the post office, they are not accepting parcels to the US
I think I may be getting confused with which master cylinder we're talking about here, my MS is being used with the standard Lockheed calliper, but I see mention of Tokico callipers so not sure of compatibility. Don has got back to me and sent me a Honda Part No for the master cylinder piston with seals 45530-KVY-911 costing £12.32.I took the master cylinder apart today to get some measurements to help try and identify the unit.
